Homosexuality and God

Homosexuality is often promoted in pornography and is something that sex addicts frequently wrestle with. I’m writing from a Christian perspective primarily for people who love God and want to be free of homosexual desires. This information will also help people who know someone with gay tendencies or who want to understand what the Bible says about it.

It is clearly stated in who will inherit the Kingdom of God – 1 Corinthians 6:9 – “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders”

Before proceeding, I want to emphasize that God loves homosexuals just as much as any other person, He just hates the Sin not the Sinner. God sent Jesus Christ to die for all people and those who place their trust in him can receive forgiveness, healing and power to change.

I’ve organized the below pages to be read through consecutively as a study or individually for reference.

Illusion: You are ok. Gay is ok.

Read John 8 : 2 – 11

  • Jesus accepts the person but condemns the sin – He pointed out that this woman’s lifestyle was sinful and she needed to change from it.
  • Jesus accepts the woman but rejects her lifestyle – He commands the woman to go and work on her lifestyle and deal with the sin in it. Read more below

Since the word ‘Homosexual’ was first coined in 1889( bet you did not know that). How could it have been written about in the bible.

By the way what does the gospel of Judas say about homosexuality? Did you say, you did not know because it is not in the bible? Is it because the gospel was rejected by Council of Nicaea in 325 amongst other gospels?

The bible you follow has so many contradictions that would make one wonder why the latching to individual verses instead of the entire book.

As a gay man, I can tell you I did not choose to be so…in fact I ‘prayed’ and undertook therapy to change who I am until I woke up to the fact that I could not change what I am inherently. Once I accepted myself, I became a better person.

How would you know how we feel if you are not gay yourself?

      Hi Gay Nairobi Man,
Even if I respond in a 1000words, I can never understand how it feels to be a homosexual. As you said the word came around 1889, but the act is as old as the bible. They state it in Leviticus 18:22.

I argue from a view point of Christian morality standards, regardless of the bible followed, both mine and yours have a lot of decree on Morality. What would Jesus say that the act is not a sin? I will not crucify you because I am also a sinner.

We have all been given free-will and I am here to help people who are looking for a solution. That is through my testimony, but never to force or impose religion or my opinion on you. I have helped a friend who wanted to leave the lifestyle before and at least know how he felt. I am sure if you go through the bible, you will get the answers you seek.

Otherwise, God bless you, sorry if you felt attacked by my post and have a good day.

      Thanks Martha for your comments,
I hope Gay Nairobi Guy has benefited from your testimony. @Gay Nairobi Guy, In 1 John 4:1, the bible says, “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God….”

Have a great day and God bless.

Biblically speaking, homosexuals are indeed not welcomed by God but staying away from the instruments of of evil such as porn is another story. Being homosexual is somewhat inevitable but being a porn addict can be avoided.
